Grading & Slope repair
This project began with full landscape demolition and rough grading to expose the natural slope. Uneven ground, compacted soil, and hidden root systems had to be removed before any hardscape work could begin. Drainage flow was assessed early to prevent future water runoff issues that commonly affect sloped yards.
leveling, base & step construction
Midway through the build, the site was carefully leveled and a compacted base installed for stability. One challenge was adjusting step heights to meet code while working around existing grade changes and utility lines. Proper base depth and compaction were critical to prevent settling over time.
Rustic Stone Walkway
The final phase included installing natural stone steps, finishing the walkway, and adding low-maintenance plants to soften the hardscape. Minor elevation adjustments were required to ensure smooth transitions between steps. Lighting and edging were added to improve safety, durability, and curb appeal.
